640×512 HD Remarkable Infrared Sensor

Uncooled detectors typically rely on microbolometers or other thermally sensitive materials integrated into the focal plane array. When infrared radiation from the scene falls onto the detector array, the temperature of the individual detector elements changes, causing a corresponding change in electrical resistance or other properties. This change is then converted into a digital signal, which is processed to form an image representing the infrared radiation emitted by objects in the scene.
